You read that right, BROWNIES!!! ACW has been selling our classic cupcakes at Di Bruno Bros. Comcast Center location for the last few months. But, we are super excited that they have also started to carry an assortment of our brownies! Come today at 12pm, to learn a few brownie techniques, and to sample our Peanut Butter Brownie and some of our Classic Cupcakes! Hope to see you all there!!!

We are going to be on Food Network’s Cupcake Wars again, this time in the Cupcake Champions tournament!!! Tune in on Sunday May 13th, 8pm, to watch us compete for a chance to Win $50,000 and make cupcakes for the Broadway show, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark!!!

ACW’s New Commercial Kitchen!

It took a while… but we did it! ACW now has a new commercial kitchen located in the Globe Dye Works building in Frankford, Philadelphia!
Getting this space together has been a true labor of love and a constant learning experience, but with the help and support of the Globe Development Group and our friends at the Frankford Community Development Center, we’re growing and thriving in our new home.
And speaking of help and support, we have gone through this whole process with our good friend, Tegan Hagy from chocolate-maker LoveBar, who we share our space with! And check out the new LoveBar cupcake on our menu!

ACW has grown a lot this year, and maybe the biggest change so far is that ACW has a new Chef/Co-Owner, Nima Etemadi!
Nima and I were best friends in college, but he stayed in NYC when I moved back to Philadelphia. Years later, with Nima as the Assistant Editor of Aperture magazine and me running ACW by night while teaching preschool by day, we both ended up quitting our careers to go to pastry school!
We just moved into an immaculate, new, commercial kitchen in the Globe Dye Works building, in Frankford, Philadelphia, and now Nima’s finally moved here, too! Between the new kitchen and the new team, I’m super excited about what 2012 has in store for ACW!!
